Deputy General Council

About the Role

As Deputy General Counsel, you will play a central role in supporting TurboVets’ legal strategy and operational integrity during a period of rapid growth. You will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and CEO to provide legal leadership across the organization, manage key matters, and ensure the company maintains strong governance, clarity, and compliance as it scales. This is a high impact role for an attorney with strong litigation experience, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate with speed, precision, and professionalism. You will help strengthen the legal function, support strategic initiatives, and provide steady, thoughtful guidance across teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the CLO and CEO on key legal priorities and organizational strategy

  • Manage and coordinate legal matters with external counsel across relevant areas

  • Assist with corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance issues as assigned

  • Oversee filings, documentation, and internal legal processes

  • Provide clear, practical legal guidance to internal teams across the company

  • Support intellectual property strategy, document preparation, and contract review

  • Help maintain strong legal frameworks, documentation standards, and operational discipline

  • Contribute to leadership communication, briefings, and structured reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • 6 to 12 plus years of legal experience with strong litigation exposure

  • Demonstrated skill in legal writing, research, analysis, and issue framing

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work quickly

  • Strong organizational capability and a proactive, ownership oriented mindset

  • Effective communicator across legal, business, and operational teams

  • Bonus experience advising high growth or regulated organizations

  • Bonus familiarity with intellectual property, regulatory issues, or commercial matters
