Washington, DC – August 21, 2025– TurboVets proudly recognizes Jason Redman, decorated Navy SEAL, Purple Heart recipient, and founding partner of TurboVets, for completing the New York City SEAL Swim 2025 this past weekend. The grueling 3 1/2 mile challenge across the Hudson River drew over 375 participants, including SEALs, veterans, first responders, and supporters. The event raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Navy SEAL Foundation while honoring fallen heroes, with Redman personally raising over $50,000.

Competitors swam from Liberty State Park to Lower Manhattan, stopping at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to complete 100 pushups and 22 pull-ups at each location, before concluding with a flag run near the 9/11 Memorial.

For Redman, who nearly lost his life in a 2007 Iraq ambush where he was shot eight times and endured 40 surgeries, this marked his third completion of the challenging event.

“It’s a tough swim, it’s a real gut check — we have to rescue people every year,” said Jason Redman. “Even Michael Phelps couldn’t swim against that current.”

“I’ve done quite a few hard things since I was wounded, but this is one of the bigger challenges,” Redman added. “We all have failures. We all get knocked down; we all get broken. And for me, I’m living a second chance, and I hope it shows others that, ‘Hey, you can do this, too.’”
