Application Security Manager

As an Application Security Engineer, you will help ensure TurboVets’ software is built and shipped with strong security fundamentals. You will collaborate with Engineering teams to identify risks, improve development practices, and support secure design across the platform. Your work will contribute to maintaining a disciplined, reliable, and high integrity security environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in identifying and resolving application level vulnerabilities
  • Support secure development practices, code review workflows, and design guidance
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement security improvements during development
  • Help conduct threat modeling, security testing, and validation activities
  • Maintain documentation for application security standards and best practices
  • Support security tooling, scanning, and continuous improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 plus years of experience in application security or secure software development
  • Familiarity with common vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, and testing methods
  • Experience working with engineering teams to improve application security
  • Understanding of modern web application architectures and API security
  • Bonus experience with SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, or threat modeling
