Acute diarrheal illness caused by Vibrio cholerae (severe dehydration)
To support a 100 percent rating for active disease, medical records showing a confirmed, ongoing cholera or non-cholera vibrio infection are central. Laboratory results, hospitalization records, and treating physician notes that document active illness help establish this level.
After the active phase ends, the evidence that matters most depends on which residual conditions you have. For a residual such as renal failure, kidney function test results and nephrology records would be relevant. For skin or musculoskeletal residuals, dermatology or orthopedic exam findings, imaging, and physical examination notes showing the nature and severity of those conditions would apply. Your own statements, and statements from people who know you, describing how symptoms from any residual condition affect your work and daily activities can also support the rating for each affected body system.
Conditions that are often caused or made worse by this one. If you have any of these, they may be claimable as secondary service connection.
