Complete absence of eyelashes on one or both eyelids.
To support a 10% rating, evidence needs to show that you have complete loss of eyelashes in one or both eyes. An eye exam or medical record documenting the total absence of eyelashes on the affected eyelid or eyelids is the most direct form of evidence. Notes from an ophthalmologist or other treating provider describing the condition help confirm both the completeness and the cause of the loss. Photographs taken during a clinical visit that clearly show the eyelid margins without lashes can also support the record. Statements from you or people who know you describing how the condition affects your daily life — such as increased eye irritation or sensitivity — may provide useful context, though the rating itself turns on the documented clinical finding of complete loss.
