Cancer of lymphocytes in lymph nodes or lymphoid tissues (other than Hodgkin’s)
To support a 100% rating while disease is active or during treatment, medical records that document a confirmed diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma are central. Oncology or hematology notes that show active disease, ongoing treatment such as chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, or a diagnosis of an indolent and non-contiguous phase of low-grade Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma all speak directly to the rating criteria.
To support the continued 100% rating in the two years after treatment ends, records showing the treatment discontinuance date help establish the protected period. After the mandatory two-year examination, if the disease has not recurred, evidence of any residual conditions — such as organ damage, nerve involvement, or other lasting effects — becomes relevant. Medical records and examination findings that describe those specific residuals, along with statements from you or people who know you about how symptoms affect work and daily activities, can help VA apply the correct diagnostic code for those remaining conditions.
