Surgical removal of the glans, the rounded tip of the penis.
Because the 20% rating applies whenever removal of the glans is established, the most important evidence is documentation that the procedure occurred. Operative reports, pathology reports, surgical or hospital discharge records, and post-operative treatment notes all directly show that the glans was removed. A VA or private medical examination confirming the current anatomical finding also serves this purpose. Separately, because the regulation flags this condition as one that may support special monthly compensation for loss of a creative organ, medical records or an examiner's statement addressing the functional impact of the removal could be relevant to that additional benefit, even though it does not change the 20% rating itself.
Conditions that are often caused or made worse by this one. If you have any of these, they may be claimable as secondary service connection.
