A condition causing inflammatory nodules in the lungs and other organs that may affect breathing.
For the 100% level, medical records documenting cor pulmonale, congestive heart failure with cardiac involvement, or progressive pulmonary disease are central. Records showing persistent fever, night sweats, and weight loss despite ongoing treatment strengthen this rating. For the 60% level, treatment records showing that your doctor prescribed systemic high-dose corticosteroids specifically to control pulmonary sarcoidosis are key. Pharmacy records, prescriptions, and physician notes explaining the therapeutic purpose of the medication support this tier. For the 30% level, records showing persistent respiratory symptoms and a prescription for chronic low-dose or intermittent corticosteroids for maintenance are most relevant. Your own statements and those of people who know you describing how ongoing symptoms affect daily activities and work can also support this level. For the 0% level, imaging such as chest X-rays or CT scans showing stable infiltrates or hilar adenopathy, combined with notes confirming the absence of symptoms or measurable physiologic impairment, document this finding.
