If you were honorably discharged after at least ten years of service and you hold a master’s degree or higher, Alabama may issue you an alternative certificate to teach in Alabama schools.
Contact the Alabama Department of Education at alabamaachieves.org or 334-694-4900 and ask about the alternative teaching certificate for veterans.
Your DD214 showing at least ten years of service and an honorable discharge, and official transcripts showing a master’s degree or higher.
