If you are stationed in Alabama but are not a resident, you and your dependents can buy Alabama hunting and fishing licenses at resident prices.

How to apply

Go to your local probate office or license commissioner with your orders, driver license and military ID. For questions call 334-242-3465 or email dcnr.wfflicense@dcnr.alabama.gov.

What you'll need

A copy of orders assigning you to Alabama for 30 days or more, a valid U.S. driver license, and your military ID.

Eligibility

  • You are a nonresident service member on active duty, or the dependent of one
  • You are stationed in Alabama for 30 days or more, or assigned in a bordering state and living in Alabama for at least 90 days
