If you are a peace officer in the Alabama Peace Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund and you go into the military, you can get up to five years of service credit for your military service.

Eligibility

You are a member of the Alabama Peace Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund
You entered the U.S. Armed Forces
You return to work as a peace officer within six months after discharge
