Alaska National Guard and Naval Militia Retirement System

Alaska Department of Administration, Division of Retirement and Benefits
$100 a month for each month of credited satisfactory Alaska National Guard service

This state retirement system pays $100 a month for each month of satisfactory Alaska National Guard service you were credited with. You can choose a lump sum instead, or accelerated payments that finish by age 72. If you die on active duty with at least five years of satisfactory Alaska National Guard service, your full accrued benefit, calculated as months of service times $100, is paid to your beneficiaries in one lump sum. If you die after retiring but before your full accrued benefit is paid, the remainder is paid to your beneficiaries in a lump sum.
