Four professional licensing accommodations for service members and spouses

Alaska offers four professional licensing benefits to service members and their spouses: temporary licenses if you are already licensed in another state, credit for military education, training and experience toward state licensing requirements, deferral of licensing requirements while you are deployed, and expedited processing for Department of Defense contracted Military Family Life Counselors.

What you'll need

Depends on which benefit you are using: your out-of-state license, your military education and training records, your deployment orders, or your Department of Defense employment agency contact.
