Local Alaska municipal or borough tax office (assessor)
First $150,000 of assessed value exempt from property tax

If you have a service-connected disability rating of 50 percent or more from the VA, the first $150,000 of the assessed value of the home you own and live in is exempt from property tax. If you die, your spouse keeps the exemption once they are at least 60 years old.
