Arizona DES offices have dedicated staff who give veterans and covered family members one-on-one career and training help, including tutoring and study skills, help finishing secondary school, alternative school services, mentoring, paid and unpaid work experience such as internships, apprenticeships and job shadowing, occupational skills training, leadership development, supportive services, guidance counseling and follow-up. You also get priority of service, which means earlier access to a service or resource and, when resources are limited, access before or instead of others.
Find your nearest DES office with the office locator and tell staff you are a veteran or covered person so they apply priority of service.
Your DD214 showing a discharge or release under conditions other than dishonorable, or, for a spouse, documentation of the veteran’s death, disability or missing status.
