Arizona Resident Special Military Vehicle License Tax Exemption

Arizona Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division (MVD)
One year of vehicle license tax and registration fees waived on up to two vehicles per deployment

If you deploy in support of a worldwide contingency operation, Arizona waives the vehicle license tax and registration fees for one year on up to two vehicles, once per deployment. You can claim it during the deployment and for up to one year after you redeploy or are released from active duty. A spouse, surviving spouse or legally designated representative can claim it for a service member who is missing in action or who died on active duty, as long as the date of death falls in the current or previous registration year.
