Arizona State Employment Veterans Hiring Preference

State of Arizona hiring agencies
5 or 10 points added to a passing employment exam score

Arizona adds points to your passing score on a state employment exam. Veterans who served at least six months of active duty with an honorable discharge, and former reserve component members eligible for military retired pay, get 5 points. Veterans with an honorable discharge who have a service-connected disability rating or receive VA compensation or disability retirement benefits get 10 points. Spouses and surviving spouses get 5 points. If the hiring process does not use numerical scores, you get the preference through preference codes on your application instead.
