Arizona State Parks Veterans Discount Program

50 percent off day-use entry, or free day-use at a 100 percent rating, for you and up to three accompanying adults

Arizona State Parks discount day-use entry for resident service members and veterans, and the discount covers you plus up to three adults with you. Active duty, National Guard and Reserve members get 50 percent off the day-use entrance fee on showing a military ID, with no pass needed. Retired Arizona veterans get 50 percent off with a DD214 or retired military ID card. Veterans with a service-connected VA rating below 100 percent get 50 percent off a day-use pass, and veterans with a 100 percent service-connected rating get a free day-use pass, both on showing a VA Benefit Summary Letter. The discount does not cover Kartchner Caverns cave tours, Riordan Mansion or other historic park tours, special use, program, event or event admission fees, reservation fees, camping fees or overnight parking.

How to apply

There is nothing to file in advance for the military and retiree discounts; show your ID at the park entrance. Disabled veterans can request a Veterans Discount Program Pass at any Arizona State Park.

What you'll need

Photo ID every visit, plus your military ID card, DD214 or retired military ID, or a VA Benefit Summary Letter if you are claiming a disability discount.

Eligibility

  • You are an Arizona resident
  • You are an active, National Guard or Reserve service member, a retired veteran, or a veteran with a service-connected disability rating from the VA
