Partial, short-term wage replacement

You can claim temporary income if you lose your job through no fault of your own. It replaces part of your lost wages while you look for other work, is not meant to be a permanent income, and is not based on financial need.

How to apply

File online through the Arizona DES unemployment claim portal, or call 877-600-2722. File as soon as possible after your last day of work.

What you'll need

Your Social Security number, Arizona driver license or state ID number, mailing address and Arizona county of residence, the names, addresses and phone numbers of every employer for the last 18 months, amounts and dates of any severance, vacation, holiday or unused sick pay before deductions, your last day worked, your union hall name and number if you have one, your alien registration number if applicable, your DD214 copy 4 if you were released from the U.S. Armed Forces in the last 18 months, an SF8 or SF50 if you worked in federal civilian service in the last 18 months, and the start date and monthly amount of any pension other than Social Security.

Eligibility

  • You are unemployed through no fault of your own
  • You are able to work, available for work and actively seeking employment
  • You meet Arizona’s wage and work history requirements
