Arkansas Gross Receipts Tax Exemption for VA-Funded Adapted Vehicles and Equipment

Full exemption from Arkansas sales tax on the adapted vehicle or equipment

If the VA gives you money to buy or modify a specially adapted vehicle for a service-connected injury or disability, you do not pay Arkansas gross receipts or gross proceeds tax, the state sales tax, on that vehicle or equipment.

Claim the exemption at the point of sale or when you title and register the vehicle at an Arkansas revenue office, and show your VA Benefit Summary Letter.

What you'll need

A VA Benefit Summary Letter proving the VA provided funds for the specially adapted vehicle or equipment.
