Arkansas Heroes Scholarship Program

Arkansas Division of Higher Education
In-state tuition, housing and mandatory fees remaining after DEA, for up to eight semesters

This scholarship pays in-state tuition, housing and mandatory fees for the spouse or dependent child of a service member or veteran who was killed, went missing, was a prisoner of war, or has a 100 percent total and permanent disability rating. It pays whatever is left after three months of federal Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance is applied, so if DEA covers everything, nothing is paid. You can use it for eight semesters or until you earn a degree, whichever comes first.
