Free burial for veterans; $807 for the burial of a dependent

Arkansas has two state veterans cemeteries: North Little Rock at 1501 West Maryland Avenue, phone 501-683-2259, and Birdeye at 3600 Hwy 163, phone 870-588-4608. Burial is free for veterans and costs $807 for a dependent. Either way you get the grave site, opening and closing of the grave, a columbarium niche if you choose cremation, an upright federal government headstone or niche cover, and perpetual care.
