The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs runs two state veterans homes: a 90-bed skilled nursing facility at 1179 North College Avenue in Fayetteville, phone 479-444-7001, and a 96-bed nursing facility at 2401 John Ashley Drive in North Little Rock, phone 501-683-1406. Both provide skilled nursing and hospice care with a medical director on site, physical, occupational and speech therapy, a licensed clinical social worker, coordinated daily activities, transportation, personal laundry, a beautician and barber shop, cable TV, and a designated smoking area under staff guidance.
