Branstad-Reynolds Children of Fallen Iowa Service Members Scholarship Fund

Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA)
Full coverage of required educational expenses, with any remainder released to the student

If your parent died while serving on active duty after September 11, 2001, this state-funded scholarship pays for post-secondary study in Iowa. It covers tuition, books, fees, housing, special tools and equipment required for coursework, school-approved tutoring and other required educational expenses, and anything left over once those costs are met is released to you for other expenses. The death does not have to be combat related, and the scholarship can be used alongside federal benefits.
