California Employment Development Department Employment Assistance for Veterans

California Employment Development Department (EDD)
No-cost employment services, with priority access to job listings

The Employment Development Department gives veterans, separating service members and eligible spouses employment training and placement help. Staff assess your situation and refer you to self-service, group or one-on-one services, and veterans get 24-hour access to job listings before they go public. Disabled Veterans Outreach Program specialists work with people facing significant barriers to employment and provide skills assessment, help building an employment plan, interview practice, career coaching and short-term pre-vocational services. Local Veterans Employment Representatives work with job-ready veterans on job development and search workshops. The CalJOBS site also helps you translate military training into civilian skills.
