Difference between military pay and state salary for 180 days

If you are a California state employee ordered to federal active duty by a presidential determination after September 11, 2001, the state pays you the difference between your military pay and your state salary for 180 days. You stay eligible for merit salary adjustments and for every benefit you would have had if you had not been called up.
