California Unemployment Insurance

California Employment Development Department (EDD)
Partial, short-term wage replacement

You can claim temporary income if you lose your job through no fault of your own. It replaces part of your lost wages while you look for work and is not meant to be a permanent source of income. The Employment Development Department publishes a calculator you can use to estimate your weekly amount.
