Colorado Career Assistance for Veterans

Colorado Department of Labor and Employment
Free employment services with priority of service

Veteran Employment Specialists at Colorado Workforce Centers give you free one-on-one help with resumes and cover letters, interview technique, translating military experience into civilian terms, identifying education and training requirements, navigating job boards and career fairs, and targeting your search by industry. You get priority of service at every Colorado Workforce Center, and intensive help if you face significant barriers to employment. You can also use the general workforce center services: workshops, on-the-job training and grant programs, wage and employment trend data, career counseling, referrals, and phone, internet, printer, fax and copier access.

Contact your nearest Colorado Workforce Center and tell them you are a veteran or the spouse of one.

Your DD214 to establish veteran status and receive priority of service.

  • You served at least one day on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces and received a discharge other than dishonorable, or you are the spouse of a veteran who did
