Colorado Driver License Exemption and Vehicle Registration for Nonresident Service Members and their Spouses

Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles, Department of Revenue
No Colorado driver licence required, with optional Colorado vehicle registration

If you are a nonresident service member stationed in Colorado, you and your spouse do not need a Colorado driver licence as long as you hold a valid licence from another state. You may still choose to register your vehicles in Colorado if you want to.
