Colorado Fishing Without a License for Resident Service Members on Leave

No fishing licence required for up to 30 days a year while on leave

If you are a Colorado resident on active duty permanently stationed outside the state, you can fish in Colorado without a licence while you are home on leave. You cannot use this for more than 30 days a year.

Eligibility

  • You are a Colorado resident serving on active duty
  • You are permanently stationed outside Colorado
  • You are home in Colorado on leave and carry your leave papers
  • You have used no more than 30 days of this exemption this year
