Colorado sets aside special waterfowl hunting season dates open only to veterans and to members of an active or reserve component. The dates and locations change each year and are published by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
There is nothing extra to apply for. Check the Colorado Parks and Wildlife waterfowl page for the current dates and locations, then hunt with your normal licence and stamps during those days.
Proof of your service, plus the hunting licence, habitat stamp and federal duck stamp the season normally requires.
