The Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction buries Colorado veterans and their eligible family members at no charge. Burial includes the gravesite or niche, opening and closing the grave, military funeral honors, an upright granite headstone or niche marker with inscription, a concrete grave liner for casketed remains, use of the committal shelter and visitors’ centre, and perpetual care of the gravesite.
Pre-register before there is a need by submitting VMC Form 1, the Determination of Eligibility, to the cemetery at 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction CO 81501.
