Connecticut Department of Labor
No-cost employment services from veteran employment specialists

Trained Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program specialists and Local Veteran Employment Representatives help you find work at American Job Centers across Connecticut, which has five comprehensive centers and several smaller affiliate locations. Outreach specialists give intensive one-on-one help to veterans with significant barriers to employment, including a full skills assessment, an individual employment plan, group and individual counseling, career planning and short-term help with learning, communication and interview skills. Employment representatives work the employer side, running job fairs and workshops and connecting you with unions, apprenticeships, federal contractors and licensing programs.
