Connecticut Free Bus Pass for Veterans

Free bus pass for the transit district you use

Connecticut Veterans Affairs gives you a bus pass at no cost. Passes are specific to the transit district you use and are not transferable. You have to show a VA Veteran Health Identification Card or a Connecticut driver license or non-driver ID with the veteran indicator when you ride.

How to apply

Apply online through the Veteran Request for Bus Pass form on the Connecticut DVA forms site. You will get a confirmation email with a unique Veteran Pass ID you can reuse each month so you do not have to upload your ID again. The pass is mailed to the address you give.

What you'll need

A copy of your VA Veteran Health Identification Card, or your Connecticut driver license or non-driver ID with the veteran indicator.
