Connecticut Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Connecticut State Department of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Connecticut belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school transfers for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived from the last district, keeps differences in attendance rules, scheduling, grading, course content and assessment from setting your child back, protects eligibility for programs and for academic, athletic and social activities, and helps your child graduate on time.

  • You are an active duty service member, or a service member medically discharged, retired or deceased within the last year
