State-run skilled nursing, palliative and respite care for veterans

This state-run center in Rocky Hill cares for veterans with acute and chronic conditions that need daily medical management, including cancer, cardiac disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, dementia, stroke, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. It also provides palliative and respite care.

What you'll need

Your DD214 showing at least 90 days of active duty and an honorable or general discharge under honorable conditions, proof of Connecticut residency now or when you entered the service, and medical documentation of your care needs.

Eligibility

  • You served at least 90 days on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, not counting active duty for training, unless you were discharged earlier for a service-connected disability
  • You received an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions
  • You are a Connecticut resident now, or you were a Connecticut resident when you entered the U.S. Armed Forces
