The state runs a residential rehabilitation facility in Rocky Hill where veterans live in a community setting and work with staff on an individual plan to return to independent living. Services include employment and education resources, social work and case management, recovery support and other supportive programmes.

What you'll need

Your DD214 showing at least 90 days of active duty and an honorable or general discharge under honorable conditions, and proof you are a Connecticut resident now or were when you entered the service.

Eligibility

  • You served at least 90 days on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, not counting active duty for training, unless you were discharged earlier for a service-connected disability
  • You received an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions
  • You are a Connecticut resident now, or you were a Connecticut resident when you entered the U.S. Armed Forces
