Connecticut Wartime Service Bonus

Connecticut Military Department
$50 per month of active duty, up to $500 for non-combat service and up to $1,200 for combat zone service

The state pays a grant of $50 for every month you served on active duty in support of the Global War on Terrorism, up to $500 for non-combat service and up to $1,200 for service in a combat zone.

What you'll need

Proof of Connecticut National Guard membership and verification of your mobilization showing the start and end dates of active duty and any combat zone dates. A DD214 normally covers all of it.

Eligibility

  • You are a current or former member of the Connecticut National Guard
  • You served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001 for at least 90 consecutive days as a member of a reserve component
  • You were mobilized in support of a military operation
  • You received an honorable discharge, or you were discharged because of service-connected injuries received in the line of duty
  • If you were called to active duty as a member of a reserve component other than the Connecticut National Guard, you are a current active member of the Connecticut National Guard
