You can hunt, trap and fish in Delaware without buying a license if you have a service-connected disability rating of 60 percent or more.

How to apply

Mail, email or fax the Division of Fish and Wildlife veterans with disabilities exempt application, plus a VA letter certifying your honorable discharge and disability percentage, to Division of Fish and Wildlife, Attn: Recreational Licensing, 89 Kings Highway, Dover DE 19001, email DFWreclic@delaware.gov, fax 302-736-7925 (call 302-739-9918 first when faxing).

What you'll need

The completed exempt application and a letter from the VA certifying your honorable discharge and your disability percentage.

  • You received an honorable discharge
  • You have a service-connected disability rating of 60 percent or more from the VA
