Delaware belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school transitions for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived from the previous district, keeps differences between states in attendance rules, scheduling, course sequencing, grading, content and assessment from holding your child back, protects eligibility for educational programs and for academic, athletic and social activities, and supports on-time graduation.
Work with your school district first. If the issue is not resolved, submit an assistance request to the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission.
