If the VA paid for or paid to modify a vehicle that is specially adapted for your disability, you do not pay registration fees on it. The exemption is limited to one automobile.
Apply at a Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles office when you register the vehicle, and show the VA documentation for the purchase or modification.
Your VA documentation showing that VA funds paid for or modified the vehicle to accommodate your disability, and your vehicle paperwork.
