Major General David F. Wherley Jr., District of Columbia National Guard Retention and College Access Program (DCTA)

Washington, D.C. National Guard
Up to $20,000 per fiscal year for tuition plus up to $500 for authorized fees

The District pays higher education costs that Federal Tuition Assistance does not cover: up to $20,000 per fiscal year for tuition plus up to $500 for authorized fees, with no semester caps. You can use it for one associate, one bachelor’s, one master’s and one professional degree. It is not a reimbursement program, so funding is requested before the course starts and paid straight to the school.
