Washington, D.C. Government Employee Credit for Military Service

Washington, D.C. Department of Human Resources
Military service counted toward creditable service, worth up to eight hours of annual leave per pay period

If you work for the District government and were retired from the U.S. Armed Forces because of a service-connected disability, your active duty service can count toward your creditable service, so you earn annual leave faster. District employees with up to 3 years of creditable service accrue four hours a pay period, 4 to 14 years accrue six hours, and 15 or more years accrue eight hours.
