Trained service representatives help you find and apply for military and veterans benefits under both federal and District law, at no cost to you. They can work your claim with you from start to finish.

How to apply

Call the Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs at 202-724-5454 or email ova@dc.gov and ask to be put in touch with a service representative. The office is at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street NW, Suite 707 North, Washington, D.C. 20001.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or other discharge paperwork, and any VA letters or decisions about the claim you want help with.

Eligibility

  • You are a service member, veteran, retired service member or the family member of one
  • You need help finding or applying for a military or veterans benefit
