Extension of South Carolina Driver Licenses for Military Personnel and Their Dependents

South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV)
License stays valid until 90 days after discharge

If you are stationed outside South Carolina, your South Carolina driver license stays valid until 90 days after you are discharged. Your dependents get the same extension. Renew within that 90 day window and you do not have to retake the knowledge and road tests.
