Florida Basic Law Enforcement Training Exemption for Former U.S. Special Operations Command Service Members

Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission
Basic recruit law enforcement training requirement waived

If you served at least five years in U.S. Special Operations Command, Florida exempts you from the basic recruit law enforcement training that other applicants have to complete. You have to apply within four years of your last USSOCOM duty assignment.

Apply through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission equivalency of training process within four years of your last USSOCOM assignment.

What you'll need

Your DD214 and assignment records showing at least five years in U.S. Special Operations Command and the date of your last USSOCOM duty assignment.

  • You are seeking Florida law enforcement officer certification
