Florida Educational Dollars for Duty Program (EDD)

Florida Department of Military Affairs, Florida National Guard
Up to $218.71 per undergraduate credit, $265.35 per graduate credit and $15.00 per technical clock hour

EDD is Florida’s state tuition assistance for Florida National Guard members. It pays 100 percent of the resident rate at Florida colleges and public universities, and the highest current resident rate at accredited private institutions. It pays up to $218.71 per credit for undergraduate courses, $265.35 per credit for graduate courses, and $15.00 per clock hour for technical courses, and can also reimburse approved books and instructional materials. You can use it for vocational and technical schools, certificates, associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and professional licence and industry certification exams.

How to apply

What you'll need

Proof that you are actively drilling in good standing in the Florida National Guard, your Florida residency information, and your school’s enrollment and cost details.

Eligibility

  • You live in Florida
  • You are 17 years of age or older
  • You are actively drilling in good standing in the Florida National Guard
  • Your school has a physical location in Florida, is regionally or nationally accredited, has a MyFloridaMarketplace vendor number, and is licensed with the Commission for Independent Education if it is private
