Florida Scholarships for Children and Spouses of Deceased or Disabled Veterans and Service Members (CSDDV)

Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance
Tuition and registration fees for up to 110 percent of the required credit hours

CSDDV pays tuition and registration fees at eligible Florida institutions for the children and spouses of Florida veterans and service members who died from service-connected causes, are rated 100 percent totally and permanently disabled, or were declared a prisoner of war or missing in action. The scholarship covers up to 110 percent of the credit hours required for an initial bachelor’s degree or certificate program. Children must be between 16 and 22 and become eligible before their 23rd birthday. A surviving spouse must have been married at least one year before the death, must not have remarried, and must apply within five years of the death. A spouse of a disabled veteran must have been married at least one year before the rating was awarded and stay married while using the scholarship.
