If you are a Florida state employee who is required to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, you are entitled to be reemployed in the same or an equal position when you get back. You have to return to your state job within one year of discharge.
Contact your state agency’s human resources office within one year of your discharge and ask to be reemployed under the state veterans’ preference law.
