Florida state career centers, Florida College System institutions and state universities
Tuition, matriculation and registration fees waived for 120 credit hours

Florida waives tuition, matriculation and registration fees for a total of 120 credit hours if your spouse or parent was killed in the line of duty. You can use the waiver full time or part time at a state career center, a Florida College System institution or a state university, toward a career certificate or an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Children can use it until their 25th birthday. A surviving spouse has to start using it within five years of the death and can keep using it until the 10th anniversary of the death.
